Midsummer Family Festival

June 26-28, 2020 | Head Waters, VA

We believe that community is best-expressed in real life, so we're always dreaming and planning ways to bring us all together.

We're hosting our first Midsummer Family Festival at the Wild + Free Farm Village on June 26-28. Come with your whole family for either a day-trip or an overnight camping experience. There will be fun-filled activities, live music, great food, outdoor adventures, and nightly entertainment.

Activities at the Festival

Come for just the festivities on Saturday or camp overnight for the whole festival. Here are just a few of the activities planned for the weekend:

  • Climbing wall, tree swing, and zip lines!
  • Outdoor movies and music
  • Hayrides and hikes
  • Cookouts together
  • Forest scavenger hunts
  • Bonfires in our camping village
  • Games and activities for the kids

Wild + Free Teens

One of the unexpected surprises of the Farm Village is the way that our teens have found community and freedom on the property. With nearly 200 acres of forests, creeks, cabins, and hiking trails to explore, it's the perfect place for them to spread their wings and build lasting friendships with each other. Wild + Free started with mostly mothers of young children, but it's quickly growing into a community of families with teens.

Be Our Guest at the Farm Village

After all these years of dreaming and casting vision, Wild + Free finally has a Farm Village! Join us for one of our first retreats to experience the beauty of this place and be refreshed by the community of like-minded mamas.

We still have a lot of dreams for this place and a lot of work to do, but as the trees begin to blossom and the creeks begin to overflow with the rush of water, we couldn't resist gathering for a few cozy retreats this summer!
